Victim's Name:
A 1:48 scale model of the ship, SS Malakand.
Age:
Made by Harland & Wolff, Belfast in 1905.
Used For:
The owners, the Brocklebank shipping line of Liverpool, used the model for display purposes - it was a
promotional and status object.
Place of Residence:
The Brocklebank offices - nothing more is known. Now in the museum's collection.
Damage:
The paint is damaged on one side of the hull only. The red pigment has changed colour and the surface of the paint is cracked.

Unknown. The model was acquired by the museum in 1973, so the damage occurred between 1905 and then.
Other evidence:
The original mahogany display case shows signs
of damage as well - the varnish and wood have lightened.
