Poisoning caused by eating fish which have eaten other animals containing the poison. The symptoms vary but include:

• numbness and tingling
• nausea, vomiting, and diarrhoea
• pains and weakness in the joints and muscles
• headache, temperature and vertigo
• abnormal, slow or rapid heartbeat
• reduced blood pressure.
