There are different myths about Pegasus, the winged horse. It is said that he was born when
Perseus cut the head from the Gorgon Medusa (a woman with snakes for hair and a stare that could turn you to
stone). Some versions say that as Medusa's blood touched the sea Pegasus was born. Others say that Pegasus
leapt from Medusa's headless body along with a warrior named Chrysaor who was born carrying a golden sword.
