Totem pole

Richard Hunt, a leading Kwakwaka'wakw artist, made this totem pole. The Canadian High Commission in London, commissioned him to carve it for the 1984 Liverpool Garden Festival. The artist was in residence in Liverpool for a month while finishing the pole.
